North by South is a collaborative sauna-centered design-build venture focused on architecturally meaningful wellness environments rooted in craftsmanship, landscape, and authentic sauna culture with teams based in Northwest Arkansas and Bodø Norway.

We design and build authentic sauna and wellness ecosystems rooted in the meeting of Finnish sauna tradition with local natural environments and design vernacular. Our experience encompasses residential, hospitality, commercial and public contexts.

The collaboration combines the architectural and cultural impact of Sami Rintala with the operational and sauna-focused construction infrastructure of Chillfire Sauna Company to bring authentic sauna culture and true Nordic design heritage to the United States.
